Lifestyle changes to overcome infertility
Infertility affects between 10% and 15% of couples. The critical role that lifestyle variables play in the development of infertility has recently sparked great interest. Modifiable behaviours and ways of living can have a significant impact on general health and well-being, including fertility. Many lifestyle factors, including the age at which to start a family, nutrition, weight, exercise, psychological stress, environmental and occupational exposures, and others, can have a significant impact on fertility; lifestyle factors such as cigarette smoking, illicit drug use, and alcohol and caffeine consumption can hurt fertility, whereas others, such as preventative care, can have a positive impact.
